As a kid, David Blackhurst dreamed of some day building his own home.  When he was 23, he achieved this goal, and, as a result of this effort, building things became a passion, then a profession as a successful general contractor.

At the helm of West Coast Constructors, David likes to incorporate hardwood cabinetry with slate, travertine, and granite surfaces to achieve a harmonious and elegantly natural appearance in his house remodels and new construction.

David has a rare understanding of the importance of lighting not just for aesthetic effects, but also for energy savings.   Recessed fluorescent or LED can lights in conjunction with above-cabinet or under-cabinet fluorescent lights can contribute to the ambience of a kitchen or bathroom remodel, and recessed, pendant, or more focused lighting options can add drama and appeal to any room in a home remodeling or new construction project.

David is very personally involved in every West Coast Constructors project, be it kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, room addition, complete home remodel or new construction project. David will meet personally with prospective clients to discuss project options and offer his suggestions, opinions and design ideas. Once the outline and design for a remodel or new construction project has been created, a plan and cost estimate will be developed.
